69 product management skills and 42 chained workflows across 9 plugins, from discovery to launch.
PM Skills Marketplace is a free, MIT-licensed set of 9 plugins with 69 product management skills and 42 slash-command workflows, curated by Pawel Huryn of The Product Compass newsletter. Each skill walks the agent through a named PM framework, such as an Opportunity Solution Tree, a PRD, a pre-mortem or a North Star metric. It is built for Claude Code and Cowork, installs natively in Codex, and the skills work in other agents.

How to install PM Skills Marketplace
| Agent | Command | Copy |
|---|---|---|
| Claude Code | Install only the plugins you want. In Claude Cowork, choose Add marketplace from GitHub and enter phuryn/pm-skills. | |
| Codex | Repeat the second command for each plugin. The slash commands install but do not run as Codex slash commands, so describe the workflow in plain language. | |
| Cursor | Copy the skill folders from each plugin's skills/ directory into .cursor/skills/. Skills only, no slash commands. | |
| Gemini CLI | Copy the skill folders into .gemini/skills/. Skills only, no slash commands. |
Commands as given in the README on 2 October 2026.
What is inside PM Skills Marketplace
| Skill | What it makes the agent do |
|---|---|
| pm-product-discovery | 13 skills for ideation, assumption mapping, experiments, Opportunity Solution Trees and customer interviews. |
| pm-product-strategy | 12 skills for the product strategy canvas, vision, business models, pricing, SWOT, PESTLE and Porter's Five Forces. |
| pm-execution | 16 skills for PRDs, OKRs, outcome roadmaps, sprint plans, retros, release notes, pre-mortems and user stories. |
| pm-market-research | 7 skills for personas, segments, journey maps, market sizing, competitor analysis and feedback analysis. |
| pm-data-analytics | 3 skills that write SQL from plain language, run cohort analysis and analyze A/B tests. |
| pm-go-to-market | 6 skills for beachhead segments, ideal customer profiles, growth loops, GTM motions and battlecards. |
| pm-marketing-growth | 5 skills for marketing ideas, positioning, value propositions, product names and North Star metrics. |
| pm-toolkit | 4 skills for PM resume review, NDAs, privacy policies and proofreading. |
| pm-ai-shipping | Skills and commands that document a vibe-coded app, audit it statically for security and performance, and map test coverage. |
Counts are the README's per-plugin figures. The 42 commands chain skills, for example /discover runs brainstorm-ideas, identify-assumptions, prioritize-assumptions and brainstorm-experiments in order.
What PM Skills Marketplace runs on your machine
| Hooks | None found in the repo. |
|---|---|
| Bundled scripts | None that run in your agent. The repo's Python files, validate_plugins.py and the tests, are for contributors. |
| Network calls | None named in the README. The skills are Markdown instructions. |
| API keys needed | None named in the README. |
These are facts read from the repo, not a security rating. Read the files before you install any skill.
How much context PM Skills Marketplace uses
| All 69 skills | 43,133 words across every SKILL.md file |
|---|---|
| Largest skill | code-review, 2,158 words |
| Loaded at start | Only each skill's name and description. The full text loads when a task needs that skill. |
Word counts are measured from the repo every day. Reference files a skill loads on demand are not counted.
How PM Skills Marketplace works
Skills load automatically when the conversation matches them, and you can force one by name. Commands are user-triggered workflows that chain skills into an end-to-end process, then suggest the next command to run. Some skills, such as prioritization-frameworks and opportunity-solution-tree, are reference material the agent draws on without a command.
The README credits the frameworks it encodes to authors including Teresa Torres, Marty Cagan, Alberto Savoia, Dan Olsen, Ash Maurya, Christina Wodtke and Anthony Ulwick. The pm-ai-shipping plugin is aimed at PMs and founders who are accountable for AI-built code: it documents the system, then checks the gap between what the docs say and what the code does.
A good fit for
- Product managers who want an agent to follow a named framework step by step, not write generic text
- Founders who need discovery, strategy, PRD and launch work in one set of plugins
- Teams that want a few plugins, since each of the 9 installs on its own
- Claude Cowork users who want PM skills without using a terminal
Skip it if
- Codex or other agents when you want the slash commands, because the README says commands are Claude-specific and skills are the part that carries over
- Engineering-only workflows, since most skills are about product decisions, not code
- Legal or privacy work you plan to rely on as written, since the NDA and privacy policy skills draft documents for you to review

Questions about PM Skills Marketplace
Does PM Skills Marketplace work in Codex and Cursor?
Codex installs the same marketplace file natively, but the slash commands do not run as Codex commands. For Cursor, Gemini CLI, OpenCode and Kiro you copy the skill folders into the agent's skills directory, and only the skills work.
Is it free?
Yes. It is MIT licensed.
Do I have to install all 9 plugins?
No. In Claude Code each plugin installs separately. The README suggests installing whole plugins in Codex, since a workflow usually relies on several skills that ship together.
What is the difference between a skill and a command?
A skill gives the agent knowledge or a guided workflow and loads on its own when relevant. A command is a user-triggered workflow such as /write-prd that chains one or more skills.
Does it run any code on my machine?
No. The plugins are Markdown skills and command files. The Python in the repo is for contributor validation and tests.
