The first step is to create a SQL query. Just copy and paste from your editor. Scratch Data gives you all the metrics you need to understand the warehouse usage and cost so you can budget and optimize before turning it on in production.

Document Inputs and Outputs

Set up your query to only return safe data to users. Document the inputs and outputs of your query. Developers will never see the underlying table structure or SQL query. They'll only see the fields that you choose to expose.

Scratch automatically turns your query and documentation into familiar REST API documentation.
